In 2010 we did some 'man on the street' interviews in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and other cities. We asked people questions like how many jobs U.S. agriculture supports and how many people an average U.S. farmer feeds. We got a variety of answers and some of them may surprise you. I grew up on a Dairy farm in Maryland. I understand the hardships of the farming family and the farmers. I don't think we pay NEARLY enough for food considering how expensive it is to grow the crops and feed/milk the cows.
Thank you to all of you who still grow our foods in spite of the government administration not helping enough. Agriculture should be subsidized!
